This weekend like any other weekend promises to be chuck full of all kinds of great things going on in Long Beach.

Friday

The World Championship of Performing Arts happens tonight starting at 6:30 pm at the Long Beach Convention Center.  he WCOPA Finals Show brings together the best of the best singers, dancers, actors, musicians and models from more than 70 countries. Hundreds of performers vie for the championship crowns, industry recognition and $450,000 in scholarships!  Tickets here.

Wonder Women in Tech is taking place on Friday and Saturday.  A series of panels will talk on a variety of subjects, centered on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).  It’s located at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Problem is coming.  Problem the Rapper.  Get your tickets for The Avenue at Cuban Petes.

Saturday

Need a ladies night out?  Or a guy’s night out depending on how you swing?  Thunder from Down Under is coming to Long Beach to the Gaslamp starting at 7:00 pm.  Tickets here.

Sunidhi & Ayushmann, two people I have never heard of before today, will be performing at the Long Beach Convention Center, Saturday at 6:30 pm.  These two singers from India are apparently a big deal.  At least there.

Do you want to reduce your head to a smoldering stump?  The 2nd annual California Hot Sauce Expo is happening in Rainbow Lagoon Park starting at 11 a.m.

A Tale of Two Cities reduced to 1 hour?  You bet!  Orson Welles adopted a 1 hour long radio play which the Long Beach Shakespeare Company now brings to you.  Performance is at the Richard Goad Theatre, both Saturday and Sunday nights.
