Here is a listing of all the good and yummy Long Beach events happening in Long Beach this weekend!

Friday

Starting Friday begins the Long Beach BBQ Festival!  If you stop by on Saturday, you may get a chance to be seen on the Food Channel!  It takes place at the Rib Village near the Long Beach convention center.  This delicious event ends on Sunday so make sure to carve out a few hours to enjoy this tasty event.

Interested in learning a bit more about Long Beach’s rich history?  Stop by the Historical Society of Long Beach to view the exhibit “Black Gold: Oil in the Neighborhood

Saturday

Interested in comics?  The Museum of Latin American Art has an exhibition “Empowerment and Inspiration in Contemporary Comics“.  The exhibit highlights characters, events, stories and even mythology and it’s impact on comic culture.

Why not take a Summer Cocktail Cruise?  The Hornblower Cocktail Cruise starts at 12:00 p.m. in Long Beach.  Enjoy views of Long Beach from a completely different perspective.

Like Beer?  Taste of Brews is coming to Long Beach this Saturday.  This craft beer festival features over 100 microbrews and hard ciders.  Click for directions.

Sunday

Ever wondered what it’s like to take care of penguins?  Grab the little ones and find out!  The Aquarium of the Pacific is having their Job Shadow event starting at 9:00 a.m.

Ever wanted to make your own version of American Pickers?  The Long Beach Antique Market opens their doors at 5:30 a.m.

Special Edition:
