Long Beach Events 07-29-2016

With so many activities, how do you choose where to begin?  Long Beach definitely houses the a litney of events, from high-paced to slow and relaxing.  Here’s my list of things that make pique your curiosity for the weekend of July 29, 2016.

The Long Beach Playhouse proudly presents “How to Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying)“.  The show runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday (in case you want to see it 3 times in one weekend).

How about dinner and a show?  The Sky Room presents Tino Productions.  Big Band, jazz, swing …. variety of songs to definitely add to a memorable night.

Viva La Lucha!  OK, so do you own a lucha mask?  No?  Well now’s your chance!  The first match begins at 7 o’clock.  Take in the sites of the spectacle while munching on some Mexican/Asian fusion cuisine compliments of Dos Chinos.

Can’t wait for Halloween?  Midsummer Scream is here!  Tour the Fleshyard.  Escape the Fear Station.  Or survive the toxic explosion at the Genetics Lab.  Pick your poison, so to speak, and be prepared to scream.

For the last 2000 years, the Chinese raced in their dragon boats as to what is now an international sport.  The 2016 Long Beach Dragon Boat Races will be held at the Long Beach Marine Stadium.

The Queen Mary is hosting the 22nd Annual Brazilian Nites!  Dust off your Portuguese and prepare to dance the night away!

Sip some wine, paint with views of Alamitos Bay?  Hook a brother up!  Creative Canvas LA has paired with Five o’clock Wine Bar to present to you an easy afternoon of dabbing swirls of paint, drinking wine and appetizers.  Tickets are almost gone so order here.
